Difficult Conversations in the Workplace is designed to help HR professionals, people leaders, and workplace influencers build confidence and skill in navigating the conversations that matter most. This session explores how conflict develops within organizations, including the communication continuum, spheres of conflict, and the common areas where tension can grow if issues are left unaddressed. Participants will learn how to recognize and respond to different communication styles, strengthen their ability to lead with clarity and emotional intelligence, and apply practical frameworks such as the Intent-Action-Effect model, Intention Check, and Positions to Interests strategies to real workplace situations.
The session also addresses some of the most challenging interpersonal dynamics leaders and HR professionals face today, including office gossip, triangulation, passive-aggressive behavior, and the outright aggressive non-team player. With a focus on practical application, attendees will leave with tools for coaching others, setting healthy workplace boundaries, and managing high-stakes conversations with employees, peers, and senior leadership. This session is especially valuable for anyone who wants to move beyond avoiding conflict and instead handle difficult conversations in a way that strengthens trust, accountability, and workplace culture.
